Pain during sex

Hi everyone. I am recently recovering from my first outbreak about a few weeks ago. Everything is healed and the pain is gone. However after trying to be intimate with my boyfriend it was painful and very dry even though we did foreplay and all that. I had to stop because I was worried. Anyone else deal with this? Should I wait longer to have sex again?

I would like to know this too as I am recovering from my ob and would like to know when I can claim my sex life back!

I have dealt with the same problem following outbreaks. (The dryness and pain during sex) which is why I always use lubricant during intercourse. I specifically use coconut oil because it's natural and won't irritate like commercial lubricant products. The added lubricant should ease the pain and make it more pleasurable.

How long does the pain tend to last? is it everytime you have sex, or literally just after an outbreak?

I had the same problem

It lasted for me maybe 3 days the week after that when i had sex with my boyfriend again i was perfectly fine no pain during or after sex.

It's usually just after an outbreak, but if I lubricate very well, it's feels fine even after having an OB.

I have completely recovered and my sex life feels like it did before, I feel relieved! Just trying to keep myself healthy now and symptoms at bay as best I can. so far so good!

I'm so glad to hear that! What are you currently doing to prevent outbreaks?

I take these vitamins/supplements: Lysine, Zinc, Vitamin C and Vitamin D3 and they keep the outbreaks away completely. You could taking them everyday or just when you feel an outbreak coming and it will stop it dead in its tracks! I suggest you try this, if you're aren't already doing something that's working for you.

Currently a cod liver oil, vitamin C and Spirulina combination a day is doing wonders! I have to see how I go as I have only had this condition since January. I want to monitor what makes me have OBs and how often.

I am just relieved that my symptoms have not effected my sex life as much as I was starting to think it would! I read on a message board that some women were experiencing pain during sex for almost a year and it was almost making me panic!

Oh and I also use diluted tea tree oil for itching and coconut oil as a lube for sex( but i was using that even before this GH got me), and if I get any sores aloe vera gel- all have been very soothing!
