Hi all, have suffered painful periods for a few years didn't think much just took painkillers. They are not heavy and only last 2/3 days, not on the pill or anything for years. Never got pregnant(married 9 years) just thought it would happen eventually but anyway got a lap done 2 years ago told me I had a bit of endometriosis and sent me on my way. Ended up in hospital 2 months ago with pain so bad I couldn't move. Got a scan and they found a cyst on my right ovary brought me for a lap but when they went in couldn't remove it.Told me after that I have a frozen pelvis everything was stuck together, womb, ovaries, bowel, tubes, bladder.Have referred me to another hospital that deals with endometriosis that bad. So waiting to be seen now. Just wondering if it is normal to have the pain everyday. It wakes me every night can't get a proper nights sleep and out of work because of it. Sick of taking painkillers all the time, just a waiting game now for an appointment. Has anyone else got a frozen pelvis and tell me what I can do? Just want a proper nights sleep at this stage going mad. Sorry for the long post
Hi. I had the exact same. Painful periods not heavy then I started to get pain when I bent down went for scan and was told I had cyst on ovary and if it was causing that much pain and getting bigger second scan it was 25cm they'd do lap to remove. When I came round I was told I had a frozen pelvis which made more sense to daily pain which was worse when I stretched or bent as all was trying to move at same time. Everything was fused with endo but none showed on scan. I'm surprised they didn't do something to help release on your lap. I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I'd go back and tell them how much pain and make sure you not waiting too long for appointment for endo specialist.
thanks for replying. My dr is tring all he can to get me seen as soon as possible so fingers crossed
You could put something warm on your abdomen or wherever that is painful and see if it helps reduce pain. If it does, stay away from cold food, cold drinks, and anything cold. Hope this works for you.
Hi Orlaballs
I have the same problem than you and as severe as you. I believe it started as soon as my period started.
I am 33yo and I have be battling with the endo for nearly 22years. I am married for nearly 10years and we are trying for baby since....
Well let cut the long stories of IUI, IVF and surgery to get to the point of pain relief...
For nearly 2years I only have severe pain on the first day of my cycle. this is due to change of diet.
I am gluten free (no normal: bread, pasta, biscuits...), dairy free (no normal: milk, cheese...), sugar free (nothing with sugar: I use maple syrup or honey), no process snack (crispy...), less red meat, more vegetable, no white rice but brown rice or quinoa.
Recently I start to take some extra vitamins. I should not really advise that at the moment since I only started (I hope this will help in the balance of hormone to get pregnant along with other conventional medical assistance).
I will check on your forum if you have any question
take care of yourself honey
thanks so much for getting back to me. I will try a change in my diet to see if it helps me and let you know how I get on x
pleasure Orlaballs
