Pain in back, tightness in chest, what should I do?

I have been experiencing some symptoms that have made me a bit worried over the past week.

Last week, I was mostly experiencing tightness in my chest that only occurred at night as well as nausea and slight back pain. I went to see my doctor about it a couple days ago and she said she thought it was anxiety after taking my vitals and asking me a few questions about it. I have had issues with anxiety throughout my whole life, so this seems reasonable. However, this morning I woke up with a heartburn-like feeling in my chest, nausea, upper back and neck pain, and a lump in my throat. I’m not sure if this is acid reflux, anxiety, or something else. It made me worried about having a heart attack, but I’m not sure if I am just worried about that because of my anxiety. Also, since going to the doctor the tightness in my chest has not occurred again.

So basically, should I see a doctor about it again? If my vitals all came back fine when I first went to the doctor, does that eliminate the possibility of this all being caused by a heart attack?

I’m 20 years old, female, with no history of drugs or alcohol, at a normal weight (105 lbs and 4’11”) and with no history of heart attacks in my family.

You are young so heart issues would be unlikely, there are rare cases though. I think you have acid reflux. I get the same issues due to problems with my stomach. Try taking an acid blocker for a week. Take them before bed each day and see how you feel in a week. I think things will improve over time. Ask your doctor for a strong one like Protonix or something similar. If you can't see your doctor try getting some over the counter acid blocker like Zantac. I think you will feel better.

Any update you have on this?
