Pain in backside

I was recently diagnosed with cervical stenosis. Since then I started having pain in my backside down my leg. Is this normal?

Yes

I was told no by many specialists but later realized they were all essentially wrong.  So be careful if you hear "neck nerve compression cannot impact anything below the waist.",  I believed it for 6 months before finally proving them wrong.

Hi,

I agree with above answer. Have cervical spine problems but my neurosurgeon was adamant that my bladder and leg issues were not to blame for them. I had invasive tests for my bladder problem, urine retention, proved to be the spinal cord compression by urology department. My legs feel very heavy and painful, not my problem was the neurologists response.

They won't listen to you/me even though we are going through it. I had no problems with my legs or bladder before developing cervical spine diagnosis. They are connected.

Mike.

Yes as it can effect many of your nerves it is all connected. Get an EMG it will let you know where the nerve damage is.

I read that all of those things were possible but I never heard it from the doctor. Checking to make sure I'm not exaggerating what I am feeling. Thank you so much
