Pain in bottom but also numb tail bone region

Hi there.

I hope someone can give me an idea of what this may be. I have a history of anal fissure and piles with several bleeding. I taken 2 cosmocol sachets daily since January and everything has calmed down. I haven't had any bleeding since Feb. I get occasional pain but it doesn't last long. However this weekend and particularly tonight I have had real pain, throbbing, stinging and aching in my anus and a numb feeling around my tail bone area, spreading into the upper cheeks. Does anyone have any experience of this please?

Hi Haley

Your experience with the anal fissures sounds similar to mine. I did what was needed to keep my stools soft, things improved for a while then I started to get severe pains similar to what you describe. It sounds like there was further tearing of the fissure. Sometimes it seems a mystery as to why that happens.... Best to go to a doctor.
