I am Mrinmoy.I have pain in my chest for last 9 months in left side.I went to GP.during this 9months I did ct scan with contrast and 4 xray and ecg and blood test. Every thing is normal.doctor told me it is costrocondrities. I have no other problems. Can anyone help me?is ct conclusive?
I'm sorry for your pain! I too have had costor for ten months. soft ice packs help me alot, I also take a medicine called Neurontin which helps. A TENS unit is very helpful too. Have you gone to a rheumatologist? The good news is its not life threatening. Its just painful. I also take motrin when it hurts, and I am going for a cortisone injection in a few weeks. Hang in there. You are not alone!!!!!
I too have Costro for ten months now. The good news is its not life threatening, but it does hurt. Soft ice packs help me alot, A TENS unit helps, Advil helps me. And my DR prescribed Neurontin for the pain..it helps! Have you seen a rheumatologist? Im going to a pain specialist in a few weeks to get a cortisone injection. You are not alone!!! They will find somthing that works for you too!!!!

Actually I was worried because I thought I had tumor in my chest. I did ct with contrast and 4 times xray. Report is normal in all cases. I don't have any other problems except pain. can any one tell me that is ct conclusive?

I too was worried about all the horrible stuff at first, but if you had a tumor in your chest it would show up on x ray or ct scan. I know this is scary and really stinks!!!! But you dr can prescribe meds to help. also foods high in inflammatory properties help as well as advil and soft ice packs.
My doctor has told me the same thing.thanks mam.
