18 days out of thr and noticed a strange sensation/ache in the area of the actual hip joint--right behind it in buttocks when I walk. Doesn't feel like the usual muscle aches and pains. Went for checkup today and all looked good (via xray and doctor). Wondering if it could be from getting in and out of a car (first time since coming home from the hospital).
I would give it more time an see how it feels, if it still bothers you go back to the doctor !!
Good morning tammie .... I hope you had a good night ... I have the same sort of pain - I was convinced it was NOT muscle pain even though my Physical Therapist kept saying that - well, finally, yesterday she grabbed that spot and started to deep massage it - it was very painful !!!!
but I have to say, it feels so much better - apparentlyy it is the big muscle attached to the hip bone - I am 11 weeks post op - had my follow up visit at 8 weeks and surgery was a success ... Getting in and out of the car might do it !!

As renee has already said, it is muscle pain, so I shouldn't worry too much about it unless it carries on for a long time.
I rang the hospital yesterday as my right hip starts to click when I walk or try to turn the body, the physio people said that this is a common occurrence I am only 2.5 weeks since my op on 11th may she said not worry about it
