Pain in my toes

I am 10wks post op after thr i am still having pain in my toes it a strange feeling like an elastic band tightening round them but want release thy say its nerve damage and will go but i find i have difficulty wearing shoes i have to get them of after about an hour then my toes are really painful has any body else had this experience

Hi Sue...sounds bizarre.....sure it'll get better though...I'm just 4 weeks post op but seem to have a different ache each day...just when one bit recovers another muscle starts to ache! Worst bit has been pins and needles in my good leg... but thats reducing...think I must be sitting on one cheek!!!

Hope your toes recover soon!!

Chris

Hi sue. I had a total hip replacement in August . I'm 39. Was my right hip and I feel your pain. Hours after my thr I has bad pain in my groin , knee and foot which they said was nerve damage . I was on 26 tablets a day for it . Lol. I never thought it would go and I know the feeling you are on about. It will go in time but maybe you need to go on gabapentin or amitriptlyne. To help you through. I also found that putting a cold face cloth on my foot when resting or in bed . I never thought it would go but it does. I still feel my toes some times but nothing like it was in the older day so hang in there. I felt totally cheated when I had it but 7 months down the line and I'm back working 12 hour shifts as a nurse. Can't say I'm totally pain free coz that would be a lie. Took about 6 months before I could come off the pills. Anything else I can help with I will .

Hi wendy thank u for your feed back its comforting to know someone else has experienced my probi'm back at doctors next week so i realy need to push for something done to help with the pain thanks again
