Hi all, had my hip replacement over two years ago and that is great. Scar so tidy you can hardly see it and no pain … brilliant …but I have been getting loads of pain in my non-operated on leg. It’s on the ankle, on the inside part on the foot. I googled the systems and it says Posterior tibial tendon injury. Talk about being fed up … I was just starting to feel good about myself. Got back to the gym, losing some weight, but now ![]()
It’s being going on for about seven months plus and it even affects my holidays as I cannot walk very far without pain and limping. I’ve been to see a podiatrist and done physiotherepy excersises and wear the in-soles but it’s getting worse instead of better.
I know that I was walking quite strange whilst I was waiting for my hip op and think that my strange adopted gait might have caused it. Any ideas? The next step says another op ![]()
Get blood work done and check for gout, it doesn’t have to be connected to your hip replacement, soak foot in bowl with Epsom salt
Deffo not gout. Family member has that so know what to look for. Tried that test from youtube … see if I can elevate heel standing on the affected foot and I can’t.
