4 months since hip revision. Have pain down outside of leg and back of knee. Not painful when inactive but extremely painful when I walk. Anyone else had this. could it be nerve?
It sounds muscular rather than nerves. But you should have it checked out so that you don't have to worry.
I agree with Beth, I think once we are sure its nothing major we tend to feel the pain less, I'm waiting for xray to rule out bone pain, I think I will feel better for knowing even though PT says its muscular, what do they know, its not them suffering is it
It could be your sciatic nerve. Really painful in my opinion.
Hi guys, thanks for your thoughts .... Dies t feel like sciatic nerve. Had that before and it does' t feel the same... Got physio next week and am waitingg to see surgeon. No doubt all will be revealed!!
It could be ITBS that'd explain pain from outside of leg down to knee, but that's more side of knee pain, can you fully weight bear or is it really painful.
Is it a pain or a sore feeling
Hi Sands,I would advise you to ask your phsio, that way he or she can may suggest an X-ray.Many people can take over 6 months to recover.regards Amanda
See your doctor for a MRI if there are soft tissue involved. Sometimes the IBand that wraps around the core nuscles and don the leg around th knee can tighten up an become painful. Ti check out your pain tests to find a diagnosis to cope with a positive prognosis to help get you past this stage.
I had tiny tears in the I band and Physio helped.,took many months of exercises to strengthen all the muscl s tendons core muscles on a daily basis.
best to check with your doc . I hope you start to do better soon.
I have pain down the outside of my knee and thigh. It varies at times but really interferes with my walking well. I am at 15 weeks. I have been massaging it and that helps.
interesting because this is where I felt pain that turned out to be a stress fracture....I would check with the surgeon to putvmy mind to rest.
