When did this first look like this … ?
Your English is good.
For the doctor, wait until virus restriction begin to be lifted - this will not get severely worse in the next 3 or 4 months …
Hi @Wee_Dugie - do you have any idea what this could be? I am suffering from something almost identical myself and numerous treatments (antibiotics, creams, ointments) have not shifted the problem.
@e59253 - your English is great. I am sorry to hear that you are suffering from this and I hope you find a treatment soon.
I noticed the redness when I began to feel the pain, it was around May 1st. But I remember that months ago I felt a burning when urinating and noticed the urethra opening a bit swollen, but I didn’t put much atention to it. Unfortunatelly I don’t remember when exactly it was.
On friday I talked with an urologist by teleconference. I showed him the photos and he diagnosed as something caused by fungus. I am taking Fluconazol and Canesten.
What is concerning me is the redness slowing growing.
Thanks, I hope you find a solution too.
To answer this part of what you state:
" Hi @Wee_Dugie - do you have any idea what this could be? I am suffering from something almost identical myself and numerous treatments (antibiotics, creams, ointments) have not shifted the problem. "
Have you seen a medical professional about this … ?
You need to stay in touch with the Urologist and update them with your progress - it is particularly important to use the medication exactly as you were directed to use it.
Thanks for your response. I have seen a couple of GPs who don’t know what is is/think it looks normal. It actually coincided with a case of balanitis which has since gone, but swelling around the opening remains. Probably worth mentioning numerous STD screenings have been clear as well. I have been referred to a urologist, but appointments have been suspended for now…
I will do that, thanks for your help.
It would have been better if you had began your own Forum Discussion and posted some clear photos of the issue.
What you could potentially try is once virus restrictions begin to be lifted, and, if you live in the UK you could go to a GUM Clinic at one of the Larger General Hospitals within travelling distance for you as you may be able to see a duty Urologist when you are there - or at least phone them first to see if sessions are running.
If you have had STD screenings did you not ask for a visual check …
