I had gallbladder surgery laparoscopically exactly a week ago and until today I've been pleasantly surprised how well and pain free I've felt. I've been eating pretty normally although avoiding very heavy or fatty foods. However, gradually since yesterday I've started to get increasing pain in my right side, from my ribs down to my pelvis and around to my back. The pain is now fairly constant and keeping me awake. Iguess it's similar to what I have experienced before the surgery but definitely worse. Does anyone have experience of this?
Hi Hannah, I did get a few pains like before my gallbladder removal but it was only fleeting a stabbing pain that went then a bit of a dull ache for a while, but it wasn’t persistent. I had my gallbladder out in June and other than what I have mentioned above I have since been fine get the odd loose stool if I’ve eaten unhealthy and a bit of a gurgly stomach but that’s it!! Hopefully soon u will stop getting the pain but maybe you should mention it to your doctor just to be on the safe side x
