I suffer with an enlarged prostate and I am awaiting surgery.
Lately I have been experiencing pain when ejaculating. The pain is on the left side of my groin area and stops immediately after ejaculation also I get a burning sensation during ejaculation. I have had a urine test which shows no infections. Doctor checked my prostate by applying pressure to it, no pain so he saying it’s not prostatitis.
Could this pain be associated with my enlarged prostate?
This needs a PS test and is very like prostate issue with what your describing with pain etc…
If you’re seeing a male GP switch to a female, as there are more sympathetic to your trouble normally. This is a horrendous pain unlike no other where you can pass out from the pain. This normally requires antibiotics for a month to really shift if you’re lucky.
One thing I will advise you if given antibiotics please do not take Ciprofloxin. This is one of the most horrendous and harmful medications out there to treat this condition to the point personally it nearly drove me insane with everything else I had going on.
This medication comes with a black label in the USA, due to the severe risk of increased harm to yourself if you get that. please read about this medication as it can be deadly depending on other medications your on multiplying the effects up to x10 times as much.
One NHS register wrote this for me while on a medication called Tizanidine an Opioid for pain. The pharmacy never even caught on about it at the time. It was my own due diligence that I’m still here today. Just avoid this antibiotic at all costs cor it is very harmful to life!
This medication made me a different aggressive monster, that frightened both my wife and I at time. Just be aware on what you are given is not always safe when taking other medications is advice I hope to add.
Go for a second opinion or ask GP do you know what this is like?
It’s like a piranha is inside bursting to get out in a moment of joy, that can eventually cause phycological harm long term.

Yes, I had problems with Ciprofloxin last year and I had to stop taking it.

My main worry is that I am due to have the PAE procedure in the next few weeks after a very long wait and expense and I don’t want this possible infection or something else to cause a cancellation or to make the PAE less successful.
Cipro is one of the most dangerous antibiotics that is available to fight infections. Now do not get me wrong in saying this it will kill the bacteria within your prostate from prostate infections. This is one of the most paijful illnesses any man can suffer next to Gallstones or Neurological Diseases.

There safe other antibiotics for this type of infection with less serious side effects to mental health damage, you should ask your Dr. about firstly. It will cure the infection for some others like my self are in a chronic prostate state of trouble due to a weak immune system already. The pain of ejaculation can eventually have an effect on you phycological and emotionally effect your relationship you must seek help for if that happens. It will normally pass but listen to your urologist or nurses who will tell you what to do. Sitting in a bath with water up to groin every day did help esse the prostate, to release the toxic infectious bacteria in masturbation or.sexual intimacy with your partner. The more you ejaculate the quicker infection clears.
