pain with diverticulitis

I was admitted to hospital 3 years ago with severe abdominal pain and bleeding from the rectum. After 3 days on a drip and 2 colonoscopys was diagnosed with diverticulosis. I've not really had much problem since then but have been in pain in lower left side off and on for past 4weeks. Have been put on antibiotics for 7 days as doc thinks it might be flare up. I was wondering if anyone else has the same symptoms, pain radiating to lower back, tiredness,cramping,frequent toilet trips. Never suffered before and just wondered if any one else suffers all these symptoms at the same time. Just hope these antibiotics do the trick .

I was diagnosed 4 months ago aftepatientffering for 2 years with exactly the same symptoms as yourself. I have changed my diet totally, I have a high fibre diet drink tonnes of water and I dont eat 'trigger' foods, for me that is popcorn, rice, tomatoe, rasberries and various other goods, I think it's all hit and miss readjusting your diet. I had the antibiotics and they definitely worked.

Thanks for your reply Dawn, ive been on the antibiotics for 3 days now ans still got pain. I've increased fibre content so hopefully I will start getting better soon. It's got me worn out.
