Have to constantly take pain meds and that makes me sleepy. Maybe the fact that I'm 73 makes the difference because after 2 surgeries on the hip I feel know better and it is very depressing!!!
Hi Sue,
How long ago was your last hip surgery?
Everyones recovery is different. I hope you're able to get your pain under control and you find the answers your searching for.
Dear Sue, it's ok to be tired..... take a nap as often as you need it. Everyone is different and pain meds surley dont help the matter. I am 43 years old 8 weeks THR, but the first month i cried just about every day. I am much better now and i only cry once or twice a week... it will get better. chin up. Ginny USA
First was dec 22 and the I&D was a month later
Yes I think age does make a difference, very frustrating at times knowing that you can't do what you used to be able to do. I know, I'm 72 this month, particularly when my head is still around 18! Don't get depressed, just do what you can, its early days yet especially as you have had both hips done in a short space of time. You will soon be able to do a lot more than before your surgery and remember 70 is the new 50, so onwards and upwards. I feel so much better now than before the surgery. Good luck with your recovery.
