Hi. Just ten weeks post op. Was getting along fine doing a little more each day. Don't know what I have done but today am in pain just under cheek of bottom. Must have overdone something. It's so frustrating, has anyone else experienced this? I have been walking well and tried a little uphill strolling perhaps this is it. Can anyone else tell me they have had this? Resting today, trying to get back to where I was. I feel so down about it, sorry to moan.
Well we are now the cheeky hippies. I have had this on my last 2 days while walking. See surgeon tomorrow so will as. Guess it is nothing to worry about
I had a lot of pain in my bottom. . I guess it's just another muscle healing. I know how you feel as every time you think it's getting better another pain appears!
All part of the recovery , don't let it get you down. It will getter better. Rest when you need to, it's still early days.
Can't really help as I haven't had mine done yet but here is a ((((((big hugs))))) for all of you that are post op.
Seriously could it be a pull on the sciatic nerve ? that is around your bottom somewhere. xxxxxxx
hi thanks for encouragement. It's like you say another pain appears ! We cheekiness will keep smiling.
Being a sciatic nerve sufferer I know for sure mine isn't. If it was I would be unable to walk and would have to take heavy duty pain killers. Think ie is the healing process
what is great about this forum is that we have been and are still going through the healing stages ... I too have a tendency to do more when I feel good and then pay for the consequences - I started to drive a couple of days ago (not cleared yet) - oh boy, I was a wee bit optimistic but tasted freedom .. so i went out yesterday again ... and today ???? back on the couch and having a pity party ...
I am 8 weeks post op and will see surgeon Wednesday ... I am curious what the x-ray will show ... big hug and take care .... be kind to yourself marlene ...
Hi
i am 8weeks post op and got this a few days ago. Got hubby to check out scar in case something sinister was going on but he thinks it's just healing . They cut you quite deeply so it has to heal underneath as well as on top.
hilary
It is probably the muscle in your cheeky bit from the walking uphill. When I first did a bit of uphill walking, the next day my bottom hurt, actually in both cheeks because of the lack of exercise. It does go away when your muscles get used to it, don't despair or get discouraged, just try uphill in a couple of days, have a day off and then do it again. You will become used to it and so will your cheeks!
