Painful knees and clicky legs and walking

over the last approx six months I have started to get trouble with me knees mainly when I go out.  The back of my knees start aching after between 5 & 10 minutes of walking which I take slowly these days.  I also get a sort of clicky feeling at the top of my leg usually in one side.   Yesterday when visiting family who live near a canel we set off for our usuall stroll and it started up as normal.  Me and my turned back because my grandson wouldn't settle in his pram and if we had carried on to where we usually go I don't think I would have made it back.  I was totally worn down with the pain in my legs and back and we had only been out a short time.  I have been wondering if a walking stick would help with thus and if anyone else can advise me.  Can anyone HELP ??

I find a walking stick can twist my back, walking canes seem a lot better for me, the ones that are quite long. If you know someone who has one perhaps you could give it a try before you buy one.

I use a rollator or a walking stick...such a help..most of my exercises/walking is done in a heated swimming pool..no weight on your legs or back..really good...know you've had excercise as when your finished..boy do you ever feel exhausted..be blessed, have a great day Kathleen :-) xxx

Hi,

There is no shame or harm in usung a walking stick . it's worth trying. I

feel that you really need to see your doctor as it could be a number of

things. I know this doesn't seem like much help but for me to suggest anything it might be could worry you more.
