My mom has a lump in her sides, i couldn't quite understand if it is considered as a breast (because it is in the side and not literally on the breast) or armpit (because it is already below the armpit) lump. It started to be small but then grew bigger after a while it also became painful and suddenly looked like a bruise, she also felt a little numbness in her arm, after some time putting organic medicine it turned smaller and painless but right now it is not yet gone. 1st question: is it to be identified as a breast or armpit lump? 2nd question: what might be the diagnosis for both cases (or what is the difference of diagnosis if it is identified under armpit lump or if it is identified under breast lump)? i really couldn't find any reference to a lump that is painful then turned painless
It's possible it could be a fatty tumor. I've had one of these on my leg, and it has been removed twice. Unfortunately, it is recurring again after being gone for several years.
It has been painful at times and fine at other times. You have nerves all through your body. If the lump has one or more of these involved, it could cause pain and/or numbness.
I wouldn't jump the gun and suspect cancer. I believe most of these turn out to be benign. Since the lump is under your moms breast, I would describe it in that way, a tumor under the breast.
In any event, she should see her doctor to have it checked. They can usually tell right away wether it is a fatty tumor or not. Fatty rumors tend to be round, smooth lumps that will move under the skin.

First thing to do is go and see her doctor, get it checked out, they know what to look for, secondly don't google anything(this is the best peice of advice that I was given) when I found a lump. Not serious only a cyst. 3rd if they refer yr mam for mammogram, echo go for it, it's uncomfortable if you ve not got much up top but. It's worth it also they may send her for a X-ray. . Lumps in the chest, side, breast could b anything fatty lumps could also be due to her age etc. get. It checked out with her doctor,
