Painful skin

Hi, for the last couple of years I have been experiencing pain when I press certain parts of my body, mainly tops of legs and arms, shoulders, back and buttocks. My scalp is also painful. When trying to find out information, it always bring me back to fibromyalgia, but I don't feel my symptoms are in anyway close to the pain of fibro sufferers. Does this sound familiar or am I in the completely wrong ballpark?

Hi Sam

I have been suffering for over 20 years. I have so much pain with just a touch of a hand on my back. Fibro is linked to many pains and all have different kinds of pain experiences. Have you been to see you GP ?

Hi bee, I'm booked in a couple of weeks with a back problem, I shall mention while I'm there.

well if i said the only place that dosent hurt is my forehead

it will give you some idea .

iv got my back door open because its a nice day

but its also cold and my hands are stiffning and becoming painful

and i am getting a lot of stiffness .

so will have to shut it soon

i get stiffnes pain from the cold where my hands and other muscles tighten

i get a deep bone pain where the pain is an ache

and i get what you describe ,i call it the tenderness pain

welcome to the fibro club

one with many members but no body really wants to join

I get this soreness all over too, our Fibro friend so makes us all suffer..

Have a good day...Anne

Hi Sam, fibromyalgia is a very strange disorder and there are a multitude of symptoms that we experience which aren't mentioned on health sites. I have had fibro for at least 5 years now and one of the first symptoms I had was a painful scalp. I had to change my hairbrush to one with softer spikes. I too, often experience very painful skin that feels like I have been badly sunburned and even lightweight clothing makes it hurt more. At times I feel this across my shoulders, upper arms and legs. Along with the burning sensation, I have other weird nerve symptoms such as pin pricking sensations, numbnes and a feeling that I have cold water on my clothing.
