I'm having burning/mild itch. The sensations will come and go during the day. I feel swollen and just overall uncomfortable. I looked today and my vagina just doesn't seem right. Is it swollen? Is it hymen remnants? Am I freaking out for nothing? Someone give me some insight as to what they think it might be or is it normal?
Backstory - No abnorml discharge or smell, been with the same guy for 4 years, recently had an annual exam in May with negative STD testing. Right now I'm on an antibiotic for a month to help my HS. I began thinking I was getting a yeast infection from taking the medication, so my doctor prescribed me the pill to help clear it. That was 4 days ago so if it was a yeast infection I think it would have helped by now. Now I am second guessing whether it was/is a yeast infection with how my vagina looks right now.
Kayla…have you had a vaginal swab taken for a proper diagnosis?. There are other conditions that can cause itching and burning. You look very red and inflamed. Itching and burning is never normal.
No swab taken recently. Last full exam/swabs/pap was in May 2022. All those test cane back normal.
I am still waiting for a call back from my gyn to get in for an exam.
