Hi everyone, I had some palpitations that went away for a while, now they are back and i do not know if it is my thyroid, I get the results of the blood test for my throid this Friday from my doctor, I don't know if it is my zoloft or my ativan or my trazodone
Can anybody relate to this Would like to know what to do
I've had those and for me it turns out was not related to thyroid or anxiety. I have read elsewhere these are common during peri. Once you get the results from your doctor this coming Friday, you will know if it is thyroid or just what many of us experience from time to time.
A bit unsettling at first but now they come occasionally and pass quickly as I don't really pay much attention, now that I know what it is.
Hi Susan, don't know if this may help you but I had exactly the same a few months ago. I was on 150mcg thyroxine for years and the had the oophorectomy and suddenly with surgical menopause and all the awful symptoms that came with that my heartbeat was through the roof at times, had thyroid blood tests and there was too much, so lowered dose to 125mcg and it's settled down now. I'm sure your blood results will clear this up for you, glad you have had bloods done as this will tell them what's going on. Good luck x
I was on Zoloft for a few months ago and didn't notice a change. I was having these symptoms prior to Zoloft and still occasionally do. Everyone is different-how long have you been on Zoloft? Did this start shortly after starting Zoloft, as if it did, then maybe for you it may the cause. But I know for me, it's defintely the Peri biz Hopefully this won't be bothersome for you for too long.
Hi Susan just with regards to your heart palpitations do you get them regularly like every now an then......I'm having another ECG sometime next week on my day off... But this time they want me to have palpitations .... To actually see if it's stress related etc.... Not sure wat that means but I worry bout things that don't concern me an it sets of nervousness an anxiousness which brings in the heart palpitations an for the life of me I don't know wat I'm doing or thinking to set this off.... But I'm going on a health plan to see a mental health physiatrist ..... Which I am happy about need to get some answers an be free from anxiety.... So hope you get your answers soon to put you at ease take care😀😀
