on anxiety but im not sure! im 30 years old no other medical probl! can you drop dead from palpitations(arrythmias)?? can you have a heart attack from that? im so scared

Hi there, what was the last time you were gone through test or the consultation of the doctor. If it was recently then yes it is anxiety , the more we think , the more our subconscious mind converts it into Physical symptoms . you could use words like “Hypochondriac” or “Psychosomatic issues” to put a name on the symptoms. I can say this because i have experienced it . Get your test done if you have not , if everything comes normal (which i think it will)then you have to admit it is anxiety therefor accept it and start working towards it simply by not thinking or paying attention to random pains as of now , Start practicing Yoga (trust me it will help , you have to have patient with that) Meditation and 30 min workout would do just fine .

Its anxiety, 100%
It can also be triggers such as, when im on my cycle i get more palpitations, when i drink coffee, when im very upset or anxious. But they also come unexpectedly too. Im like you ive been to hospital, been to cardiologist. My heart is fine. I also have a messed up thyroid and low iron stores so that triggers as well.
Have you had your thyroid checked out?
The less you stress about it, the less youll get.
Oh and to answer the question, no you wont drop dead i asked my cardiologist lol

thank your for your reply! i do have thyroid problems&i take hormones for it,also sometimes when i dont take my multivitamin i run low on hemoglobin ! its very scary ,sometimes happens out of nowhere so frequently i fear ik
going to have a artial fib or a cardiac arrest! cardiologist dont think i need further tests but im so worried! and now with the covid i dont want to go to Er and be exposed to that

hey Aria, sorry to hear about your issues. I’m no doctor but I can tell you it does sound like anxiety, if you’re an anxious person I’d be willing to bet that’s what’s causing it.

I have anxiety and have also experienced palpatations. At one time, a few years ago, they were so frequent that I too had the electrocardiogram among other tests… everything was normal.

Doctors said it could be a harmless form of arythmia caused by a electronic misfire inside one of my heart muscles, but was almost certainly anxiety related. My non professional advice to you is to take note of when they happen, if you find them happening during times of stress and anxiety then it’s likely anxiety. Even if you’re not anxious, anxiety symptoms… including arythmia’s can linger.

I’m sure you’re fine, deep breaths, chances are… like in my case, when you’re anxiety levels drop, you’ll stop noticing your arythmias and they’ll become less common.

from my experience, i can say that its Anxiety. i remember when i first started having panic and anxiety attacks, everythin was so new to me. All the crazy symptoms i was having such as palpitations. it would feel as if my heart was skipping a beat or like if my heart was going to stop or super fast heart rate out of no where. i was soo convinced i was going to have a heart attack or a stroke or something. My chest would tighten and feel a pressure as if i were to have something heavy on my chest. it was horrible. i went to the doctor multiple times and after getting an Ekg, cardiogram ultra sound, stress test, and the 24 hour heart monitor test done, everything came out negative. but i still couldn’t believe it. i even went to er soooooo many times and everytime theyd do an ekg and blood tests and everything was normal. so finally i accepted the fact that it was just anxiety. it took me months and years to learn how to cope and to control it. i still get them here and there but i try not put so much mind into it. then without even noticing it goes away and so on. i have accepted that my anxiety will most likely never go away so i just learn how to live with it.

thank you ! i ve done the same tests and more as you 3holter monitor 1 event monitor 2 heart ultrasound blood work stress test ekg heart ct scan with contrast! hundreds of times at er! but i need that i need to repeat since is been 2-3 years! recently ive follow up with cardiologist and done ekg blood work but not the other tests and im
worried i might have something now that they havnt picked up before
