My story
It began when I was 14 years old. My mom took me to the doctor for severe stomach pain and nausea. The doctor ran no tests and said it was pain from "vomiting." Days went on and the pain got worse. I remember my mom making me go to school after a few days of "faking it." I remember being white as a ghost, and being disoriented. Finally after missing a few days of cheer practice, my mom took me to the emergency room. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. They did multiple tests and finally concluded with Pancreatitis. After lots of morphine and two weeks in the hospital, I was able to go home.
For years I experienced pain in the same area here and there. Eventually it would just go away and then would come back a few months later. I would tell my doctors and all they would do is prescribe me anti acids. Finally, I Kent with a specialist and they did a endoscopy. It showed no signs of acid reflux or any other conditions.
Fast forward to when I was 19. I had a laparoscopy surgery for endometriosis. The surgeon said "the scar tissue was from the pancreatitis" and he did confirm the endometrosis. I have also had problems with my thyroid and have been on medication for years.
In June 2016, I started to feel the pain I usually get here and there. I assumed it would just go away like usual, but it wasn't. I was admitted into the hospital for 6 days with pancreatitis. After I was released I was better. Two weeks later, I seen my primary care doctor for the same pain. She required a blood test to be done and the results showed high pancreatic levels and very high white blood cell count. I was then sent to the hospital where I was admitted for pancreatitis. The doctors finally started to question why I keep getting this and why I've had pain for years. I don't take medications that can cause it, I'm not an alcoholic, and I'm only 21 years old. The first time I was admitted the doctors did a ultrasound and the ultrasound showed no signs of problems with my gallbladder. The second time I was admitted the ultrasound showed "sludge" but no gallstones. Another test was done to rule out any blockages in my ducts. Nothing. A few days later I had my gallbladder removed. The test results showed no signs of gallstones. It was enlarged and a little inflamed. My pancreas also shows no signs of damage... yet.
My question is: has anyone ever experienced this? Even after my gallbladder being removed I still have pain, pale stools, nausea. I'm only 21 years old.
Please help.
