Panic at night

Just recently iv been woken from sleep by adrenaline rushes and anxiety. It's very scary and I wondered if anyone else has suffered this and if anything can help it . It's usually about 4am when I am shocked awake .

No, I haven't experienced it but are you woken by the adrenaline rush or so you wake up and then experience it? I'm wondering if you're feeling anxious when you wake because you're worried about the panic feelings coming on and that exacerbates it?

Hi i have it every morning. Its horrible and i cant get back to sleep. I suffer from gad and been having it for 3yrs now. I lost my job because of my anxiety and stay at home on own as partner works. Since being unemployed i have become worse and worried about losing house and girlfriend. So my anxiety is thru the roof. I cant get another job because of all this and have no money to support myself or my girlfriend.

All you can do is drink more water so your muscles are pliable and bounce back. And then have an audio anxiety ebook or mediation available and turn it on to get back to sleep. Even if we dont remember the dream sometimes its about the dream bugging you. Therapy might be useful as im guessing you are either trying to ignore something that you dont like going on in your life or something just bugging you in general. Many try to "ignore" or "fight" anxiety and truth is it wont let you. It will manifest in any way it wants to make you address it. Way better off trying to deal with it, accept it and self calm it, but if you have no clue a therapist can be useful. Even a hypnotherapist in this kind of situation. Otherwise just use something soothing when it wakes you to go back to bed.  Maybe you are a really deep sleeper and as you enter into a more awakened state it just reacts like that in your body because it is in a heightened state overall.  So,etimes before falling alseep many have weird stuff go on too..normal healthy but strange. Too aware of yourself and its changes and then it spooks you. So different explanations i guess. The last thing would be sleep apnea. Do you snore? If you snore loud and such you can always ask your go about a sleep apnea test. That would jolt you. If you use sleeping pills stop using them.
