I'm having a panic attack currently, I'm trying to stay calm but I'm hot and shaky. i know its anxiety but it still scares me. what should i do? distraction works well for me so im using grounding techniques. thank you in advance
update: the hot flash and shakiness have subsided (thank god) but now my throat feels tight and like its about to close up. Ah, nothing like my anxiety replacing bad symptoms with worse. I'm trying to relax my muscles around my neck and it seems to help a bit.
Me and you both I've been severe short of breath the past couple weeks and today was a terrible day and I'm on the verge of calling 911 or going to the ER because I fear I am dying.. but and it's weird because no matter how many times it happens to me I feel certain this is the one that's gonna kill me and it never has but I just can't get a grip on my thoughts due to my sensations...
Hon if you were having a true Panic Attack you wouldn't be able to type. Honestly. Hard anxiety attack yes. Count backwards from 100 by 3's and deep slow breaths
