Just short of a week ago, I hit the upper part of my back on my beds headboard whilst getting up, I'd had a few minor back issues and while they weren't notable it wasn't the greatest place to hit, I've now spent what seems to equate to the whole week in panic, My temples and back are often numb and in my backs case, stiff or sore and it means that I barely am calm, especially when trying to sleep at night (I usually give up after a few minutes because I'm seconds away from full blown panic), I saw the GP the day after and was given some anti-anxiety pills and while I was aware temporarily increased anxiety was a known side effect in the early going, I wasn't expecting this much however, I have currently spent the last three hours in a panic attack and I'm getting incredibly desperate - I don't know what I'm exactly asking, all I know is I need some normality back before I lose whatevers left of my mind
Hey Jack. Do u think the meds are making u more anxious?
Hi jack, how long have you taken the meds? Is this your first time on this type of med? I tried several SSRI's and never could take them to get past the side effects. My anxiety is barely tolerable now and to have it increase just a little would be too much for me to handle so I am stuck. Hopefully, someone with more experience will come along and give you better advice. I would call the doctor and explain just what you posted here. Perhaps you got started out too strong or they can prescribe something else to get you over the hump. Hope you feel better soon.
Jack
Your medications will take time to get into your system, around four weeks so stop worrying.
