Panic attacks

I suffer from severe panic attacks and I get very scared I have been in and out of hospitals for it and the doctors say I'm fine I have had many ecgs done and they turned out normal it's just my mind dose not think I am my heart rate is fast all the time and yes I do think I'm dying I'm afraid my heart is getting weak my worst fear is dying but I'm only 28 I hope I can get some feedback on this too put my mind at ease

Hi Darren I know exactly what that fear is like dealt with those feeling for years it does pass when u get the correct help 😊

Hey Darron

I get panic attacks too that's why I avoid what triggers it. Which only makes it worse. Since the doctors checked you then you must be okay. Dont worry. Panic attacks occur because of too much Anxiety you start panicking and want to flee. Try to relax. Mindfulness, Meditate, exercise, breathing exercises, walk, imagine a scenery in your mind. For instance imagine being on the beach alone hearing how the waves hit each other and just breathe everything will be alright. Nothing bad will happen. You can do it.πŸ‘

Darron,

first I'm very sorry that you're feeling anxious and fearful. I know how that feels. My anxiety started in my 20s and back then I didn't even have Internet support. I was terrified that I had some terrible disease with all the symptoms I was getting.

Just like you, my heart rate was very fast, and I had other symptoms as well.

I want you to know that I am now in my fifties and still here!  Lol

I can tell you for a fact that ANY symptoms related to anxiety CANNOT hurt you!

they feel weird and scary but that is all they can do! Your heart will not stop!

your heart is racing because when you feel anxiety , your brain sends out a hormone to protect you called Adrenaline.  This hormone causes a racing heart .  It's perfectly harmless. If there was anything wrong with your heart, it would have shown up on the ecg.

You are NOT dying.  You are a very healthy young man with a strong heart.,and just need to learn how to manage the anxiety so your symptoms calm down.

Millions of people have anxiety with the rapid heart rate.  No worries😁

All anxiety starts in the brain so you need to calm down your brain to get rid of the rapid heart rate. When you are anxious and get fast heart rate, you become even more anxious, so the heart sends out more adrenaline! A vicious circle!

So how do we calm down the brain?

1. I really like the audio meditations on you tube for anxiety. They totally calm down my mind and body (and heart rate). Many to choose from. Just search for Guided Meditations for Anxiety, ( or sleep, depression, breathing)

earbuds work best.

When you start to feel anxiety, go right to your breathing. Take a slow deep breath through nose, make sure your belly rises.Breathe out slowly through your mouth like blowing out a candle. Focus on your breath, how it feels and sounds coming in and out. Do several times. This keeps you in the present moment so your mind doesn't wander and worry.

Really good meditations are Detachment from Overthinking and Clearing Subconscious Negativity.

2. If you are really struggling with anxiety, speak with a counselor who specializes in anxiety. They see this every day and can help you manage your anxiety.

3. Stay active and social

4. Don't take life too seriously

5. Be good to yourself. This is not your fault!

6. Don't overthink.

7. Do things that make you happy, laugh and smile

8. Be a fighter for yourself. You don't have to let fear and anxiety take you over!

You can do this. It takes determination and practice.

You will be Fine! ❀️😁

I also started thinking it could also be my diet and my smoking too I think I need more fruits and vegetables as well I'm not overweight or anything but what you put in your body could also make you feel bad

I meant to tell you that you tube also has meditations for Panic attack where they guide you through it. πŸ‘

Yeah start eating healthy food and try to stop smoking. It's not good for you. You can get lung cancer. Also stay away from caffeine it makes our Anxiety worse.

I really thank you guys for all the feedback it's making me feel alot better knowing that people are suffering from the same thing makes me feel that I'm not alone

No problem I'm thankful you replied too. You're not alone in this struggle.πŸ™Œ
