Panic Attacks

Will someone please tell me there are medications out there that will help with panic attacks!? I'm losing hope.

Hi Keri! do you get the classic panic attack symptoms like racing heart and loss of breath? to answer your question, yes! you arent taking any medication now?

yes I do…my mind also starts to race and I have a sense of doom when that happens. I’m on Seroquel right now.

Seroquil is doing nothing for the panic.

Hey! I just started taking clonazapam (Klonopin). It has highly reduced my panic. Look into it

Hi Keri. Yes definitely there are medications for panic attacks. But which medicine works varies from one person to another. So it’s best to consult your psychiatrist before taking medicines by yourself. Also in the meantime, consider meeting a certified psychotherapist to get help for the same. There is a lot of evidence of how therapy helps in reducing panic attack symptoms as well as enhancing our own coping strategies for it.
