Panic

Does anyone else constantly worry about the next panic attack ?

Yes, that can happen but the problem with that is When weconstantly worry about future attacks, the brain is becoming over anxious again which will likely lead to another panic attack.

I have been through this for years and finally learned how not to have another one  or to greatly decrease the occurrence.

The key is to calm down the brain  because that's were all anxiety, negative thoughts, and panic originate. If you worry  can stress out about the future, the brain will send out adrenaline to protect you. Adrenaline causes rapid heart rate etc.

any symptoms you get related to anxiety can never hurt you. They can be scary but that's all they can do.

you need to take a different approach to this. When you have a negative or scary thought don't try to fight it off because that will make things worse. What you do is . Do this every time at the very beginning of anxiety. Eventually your mind will do it automatically.calmly acknowledge that it's there, then imagine it floating off and dissolving . Do this every time at the very beginning of anxiety. Eventually your mind will do it automatically.  Our thoughts are not a part of us, they are fleeting all day long. What we have to do is learn how to control them but in a relaxed manner.

another thing that is vital is learning the proper breathing technique for anxiety. Always go back to your breathing when your mind starts to wander and get negative. It keeps you in the present moment and not worried about the future. The future doesn't exist yet.

if you can get a book called Mindfulness,  it teaches you all of this and helps you to regain your peace of mind! It was a white cover book with a ball of string on the cover.

also, You tube has excellent meditations for panic attack, anxiety, sleep, etc. just search for guided meditation for panic attack or anxiety or whatever you want. There are many of them to choose from.  They completely calm down my mind and body and my symptoms go away or diminish. I do this a couple times a day. These meditations teach you how to separate the negativity in your mind from yourself.

The worst thing you can do is sit around and think too much. That increases anxiety. Stay active, socialize, do things for others, eat healthy.

definitely listen to the meditations for panic and the meditation for 10 minute breathing exercise.

Thank you so much for your advise xx At the moment i find it hard to move or do anything. I know im making it worse but its so hard
