Panicking about shaky hands

Help ladies! You know how things get blown out of proportion at this wonderful time?? Wel... I've just realised my hands are shaking when I hold things out. I've also become really clumsy. My brain is now telling me I have MS or Parkinson's. Any one else experiencing these symptoms??

uh huh but mostly it goes away. Yours too? I think I can make it happen, tho. Thanks for mentioning the blowing out of proportion thing. So true here. : )

I probably am making it happen now as I'm getting worked up about it! My logical brain tells me I'm being stupid but somehow im not listening to it 😝

I've become more clumsy and suffer with my balance sometimes......it's a great time of life isn't it?!!!  As much as I can do I make a joke about things, particularly at work so that I don't go into a panic about things.....most of the time it's fine, but if I'm having a bad day I have to hold back the panic and tears sometimes.

I have had shaky hands for years, sometimes worse than other times.  My sister in law has also had this since her thirties, and says she is sometimes embarrassed at work when she is holding a drink. She has quite a high powered job, so I dont think its affected her confidence very much.  If its just hands shaking and nothing else, probably nothing serious.

Hi Anita.  I'm in perimenopause and have been getting shaky hands for the last year or so.  It seems to be yet another symptom - one of many!  It's a tough time for a lot of us but always worth a visit to your GP to see if they can give you anything to help. Try not to worry too much, it will be over one day! x

Hi anita.

I had shaky hands and I can tell you that you havn`t got MS or parkinsons.

It`s the menopause. It can cause so many horrible things and I think Iv`e

had almost all of them, including shaking hands. I do have more good

days now than bad but, it will pass so chin up. It will get better.

Hello Anita,

I have been peri for four years and I have shaky hands and twitchy eye lids. I have also become way more clumsy. I think its just another weird symptom chalked up to perimenopause. There are many.  New ones arise all of the time. I guess we have to just settle in for the long haul huh?

Thank you ladies for all your reassuring words. I knew I was being stupid but just needed to hear it. I'm so glad you ladies are all here 😘

Anita:

Yes, I too do shake.  Especially in the mornings for a while and then feel inward shaky all day.  I am careful when I stand up or move around the kitchen, just am not real steady.  I am careful also when I pick something up to make sure I have a good gripp on it.  Have no idea what this is all about but you are the first to mention it

I can relate! About two or three years into this lovely time of life, I noticed my hands shaking. I already had felt the inner tremors. It is disgusting. My local health food store owner suggested trying coconut water to replenish all the nutrients I was sweating out. Also to be sure and take calcium, potassium, and magnesium. It does help, although somedays when the hot flashes (Im from the US) are bad, the shakes seem worse. I do alot of praying.
