PanOptix and cloudy vision

i had cataract surgery with a Panoptix iol 2 weeks ago. My vision is like looking through a fogged glass. All my tests come up good, but its stressful and hard to work always strainf yo look through haze.
Surgeon is saying dry eye i don’t know if i agree. Then he also said neuroadaption takes time. But i wonder if i have the wrong lens.
depending on how thick the fog is differs how well i can see.
Any ideas on why the constant fog?

Too early to say.

It takes about 3 weeks for 90% or so of the healing to occur. I think I might be patient for another week or so, but if no improvement at 3 weeks then escalate the concern with the surgeon. It is probably a good idea to get an independent eye exam by an optometrist at the 3 week point to get their opinion on what the issue might be.

the multifocal haze is bothering you. if it isnt corneal edema get a lens exchange.

At this point it is to early to worry I had similar issue documented here To Panoptix or not to Panoptix that is the question? - Eye care - Patient Communities

Dry eyes was a big issue I found out once I started the preservative free drops.

Neuroadaptation is for real it takes time.

Really I did not have clear vision until about 2 weeks after I stopped all the drops so like 7-8 weeks. Then further improvement over time. I read so many ppl post oh I had clear vision when I got home made me really worry. But seems we are all not the same some of us take longer and react diff to the drops.
Now months later I am very happy with my Panoptix and would do it again. I have glasses free vision from cell phone to infinity you cannot really ask for more.

To be fair nothing will replace your natural lens so every IOL has trade offs. The Panoptix does have halos, spiderwebs, starburst, ghosting. It was crazy at first I thought I made a big mistake. But I got use to it and now I don’t notice it I just enjoy full range glasses free vision.

I know I had the next day check up and then one in 2 weeks have you been to the 2 week followup?

Yes, I have been to my second appointment and now he us saying dry eye and started me on Restasis drops. He also wants me to see their dry eye specialist but shes gone on maternity leave. I’m not a big believer of the dry eye reason. I’m a basket case over my eyesight.

Thank you for responding, you gave me hope. Hopefully i can keep my sanity to the 7-8 week time frame.

All I can say is I was really upset things did not seem right. My Dr really did not even suggest the dry eyes I thought of it myself after reading some post. After a few days on the drops it improved and the rest is history so give it a try you have nothing to lose.

Was your eye like looking through haze?
Or clear but blurry?

First few days like milky haze then it was a clear but blurry. The preserv free eye drops really did help. I still use them today from time to time on long days when I have to stay up past my normal bed time. My wife even started to use them who has no eye issues and she says she can see a improvement. So I think it is safe to say most ppl have dry eyes that work on computers all day long.
