Hi, I've been suffering from PD with my Tecnis 1-piece for the last 2 years. I am about to go through an IOL exchange as cannot stand it any longer. However, I think I've got PCO as there're some sympthoms. Q: Is it possible to remove cells responsible for PCO during such a secondary surgery? Or they're stuck to the capsule and I gonna need YAG with the new lens anyway?
if u were to do an iol exchange they can remove some cells but they are pretty much stuck to the capsule. so u will need a yag after the exchange. i specifically asked this question to dr safran and so did deb.
