Lately I have what feels like my pectoral muscles are tight and I feel like I can't always take a deep breath, can anxiety cause this? My dr can't find anything wrong with my lungs so I don't think it is actually a breathing problem, does anyone else experience this?
Are you getting tightness anywhere else?? My chest gets tight because of tension and laying on my bed propped on my elbows....
All day everyday feel like I need to get a deep breath it actually makes me feel like I'm suffocating and I'm surely going to die I think there is something wrong with me I cannot breathe right I'm looking for a deep breath all day it keeps me up at night and causes panic attacks
My upper back feels tight and shoulders, sometimes it causes my anxiety to spike
Do me a favor and try to see if your tensing up during the day.... I catch myself doing it all the time lately.... I find my self tensing up my shoulders and neck muscles and chest muscles all day long... I catch my self and then relax my muscles.... it seems to help...becoming aware of your tension will help
When I start having an anxiety attack my muscles start feeling tense and I start feeling like I'm choking
Yeah man I understand what you mean. My neck bothers me a lot because of tension. My shoulders also.... My best advice is when it happens recognize for what it is and try to force yourself to loosen up your tension in your chest and neck and shoulders.... breath deep and tell yourself to stop tensing. It helps me a bit to do the muscle relation techniques also. Where you tense your muscle groups up for short periods of time and then relax them
Thanks, I will certainly give it a try
