I'm a 23 yo female, and I am having right sided pelvic pain when i bend over. I do get cysts and have been getting them since I was 14.
This has been going on since I had my son a year ago (my second child). I'm completely lost, because last October I had a ct scan of my abdomen whice showed nothing. I also just recently had a transvaginal ultrasound like 4 months ago. During the ultrasound I was still getting pain when bending but it showed no ovarian cysts. I'm so annoyed. Can it be my hip socket? My hip (both sides) lock on me sometimes and i cant walk for a brief amount of time.(that's been since I was a kid. I think it may have to do with me being in gymnastics as a kid)
The pain only bothers me when I bend over. It feels like a pull...can anyone relate to this?
If thiers no cysts it could be a kidney stone. I dnt menstrate anymore so when i got similar pain they couldnt find anything due to my stones like to play hide n seak. My specialist also a female had the same issue n when was told she had a stone she was in misbeleif. So i was told when i get that feeling pain i have another. Shes treated me bck to bck 3 times. I cant find her now do to a weird last name and have 3 now, the surgeon where i moved refuses to remove them doesn't understand i can not pass them on my own. Try n get that checked a ct scan or ultra sound even pee if they look 4 the right thing...gl
You are very good thinking for a differential diagnose.
Good you had an ultrasound right then, when you had the pain and no cyst was present.
If it was a hip flexor muscle strain, you need a good doc or physio to pin down which muscle or even bone that could be a problem and order the right ultrasound, x-ray or MRI.
Look at the iliopsoas muscle (internet) if the pain was in that area.
Have a look at the psoas muscle and how to stretch it.
Sciatica and piriformis syndrome comes to mind, too. Or even the back?
I hope you can get some manipulation to identify where the problem is.
With 2 young children one thing is always missing: time for yourself. I wish you could do some yoga and see, if pain got better.
Hi Ariel, I do sympathise - my problem (one of many!) is in my left side. I am a lot older than you and also have cysts. But I am a life-long gardener - all that bending, crouching and lifting.
The pain and discomfort I feel could be the cysts but it is always worse when I have been mauling around in the garden.
When you mentioned gymnastics I thought 'a-ha!'. When we are young and 'bendy' we don't give a second thought to injuries and pushing ourselves too far. But believe me, it catches up with you!
If everything 'gynae' checks out OK I'd suspect some long-forgotten injury or strain coming back to haunt you.
Yes! I'm starting to think gymnastics has something to do with my lower back bothering me off and on. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the reason for this as well. Thank you so much for your response.āŗ

Hey, I know this a long shot as 6 years have gone by but if you get this - did you manage to get sorted? would love to hear as Iām going through something similar & really suffering but nothing can be found.
Pain when leaning forward, right side, worsens when ovulating but also with activity. I used to weight lift and wondering if its gym related. i also get severe bloating.
