You may be fine not retracting, but it's probably a good idea to get some cream from the doctor to help you stretch the foreskin so that it can be (eventualy) easily moved back and forth over your glans. I say easily, because if it ever gets stuck behind the ridge of your penis head, this can cut off blood supply and is a medical emergency. Once you have stretched it, which could take you several months to do, you can ensure you can clean under the foreskin, and the free movement will make intercourse easier and more pleasurable for both you and your partner when you have one.
