Yes that will help. The foreskin covers the glans and keeps it moist which is a favorable environment for fungus. Ask your druggist for their recommendation for an over the counter antifungal cream and follow the directions.
thanks i went to the florey clinic several months ago and the dr thought it was zoons balanitis , told me to use a steroid cream twice daily after washing with dermol lotion and air it 30 mins a day.
originally it was shinier and often when i pulled the foreskin back a small bit of skin would be stuck to the glans and peel the glans skin back making it bleed. ( not nice). however it hasn’t done this lately.
the appearance seems to change often, especially depending on temperature.
i wasnt sure about the steroid cream as i felt it was a bit abrasive , like a paste.
the dermol lotion seemed to help as its anti bacterial but it also seemed to affect my foreskin. now it looks a bit saggier than it was.
so you guys think it could be fungal? i see superdrug sell a canesten 1% fungal cream fir 4.99. guess it cant hurt to try.
