Red tip/meatus, urine dribbling at end of urination, the urethra seems narrowed, slight irritation in penis tip. Full STD check all neg, course doxycline antbiotics, no change. Urine tests at GP, all clear, bloods all clear. Has anyone any clue to what this could be, I'm going back to the gp again but honestly think it's a waste of time.
If all negative then why prescribe antibiotics?
Dribbling at end could be down to enlarged prostate [you don't say how old you are].
You probably may need a urologist appointment. You could try buying over the counter "Contiflo" tablets though they do have side effects.
Drink lots ["drink like a fish" as the Doctor said to me]. Possibly even try cranberry juice.
Hi, I'm 43 and don't think it's a prostate problem, feels more like the urinary tract narrowing. The doc gave me the antibiotics more as a failsafe incase it was a non specific infection that wasn't showing up. I'll have a look at the contiflow and hopefully get a urolgist appointment soon.
thanks.
Since the std tests were negative. Try thinking of what may be causing an irritation. An external irritation or allergic reaction can cause swelling which can cause narrowing and a drip which can be the bodies effort to try and clear it. Here are some ideas: any products or anything your partner may be using that can contact that area of your body. Any new cloths detergents, soaps, perfumes, or lotions. Also, keep in mind that it may be a good idea to have your Doctor check for different reasons, because tests can only clear you for what the actual test is for.
