hello today at work i was at work and i was standing and i saw eye floaters and i got ansiety. Im not sure if was streess my son and i had an argument and i went to work and i experience that . is not the first time. i been check for heart disease, stroke and im just here crying my eyes out dont know what the hell is going on. my period came a week early and im almost done. have anyone experience this ? im 48
Hi I might be able to help you with your symptoms, I work as an optometrist. How long did the floaters last, in 1 or both eyes? Any flashes or unusual patterns, headache with this? Do you get migraines?
Woke up one morning had floaters. I was probably 53 or 54. Went to my opthamologist. He very calmly told me all was fine and although I had gotten them a little early, it’s nnormal for nearsighted people to get them. My vision is fine I hardly notice them now.
hi there!! oh yes ma’am… i started getting them about 3 years ago… right before i went into peri-menopause… i have a ton of them… been to my regular eye appts… everything checked out just fine. doctors told me not to worry . they told me i will need to “make friends” with them… kinda hard to do when they are annoying!! hang in there.. try not to worry.. they are very common … take care and remember it will be ok 
maybe a few seconds and go away! i had my eyes checks and the doctor say my retina is fine. i did had a headache afterwards. and ansiety .
is very nerve racking when it happens . im 48 going on 49 . i get ansiety goes up the roof and male it worse. im so happy im not the only one. im so tired of going to the ER and eveything check out .
yes ma’am ive had a real hard time dealing with them my eyes are covered in them.. they take my anxiety to a whole new level… hang in there… i know its hard,but i’m right there with ya

Eliaimee - yes! I have had these off and on since 42 - I am 49 now. I haven’t noticed any pattern but I do remember the first time I had them I was so concerned. On one of the meno sites they say it can be a migraine with aura/with or without headache. Another meno site connects the floaters/anxiety and says that those symptoms along with others can come on with a Hot Flash (with or without sweating). Take care and know that you are not alone.
