Peri-menapausal symptoms

I would love to know everyone's take on peri-menapausal symptoms and what is a good thing to take for them, natural remedies.

Hi mumm,

My take on most of the symptoms is that they are unpredictable and different for everyone. Do you have specific symptoms you are thinking about in regards for what to take?

Hi Mumm,

Oh perimenopause is a really chalenging time in our lives.  I have read that the B vitamines are supposed to help.  I started taking B12 chewy vitamines, one a day. Also Magnesium is supposed to help also.  The best thing to do is talk with your Gynocologist or even a Nutritionist.  Much luck to you

Also, you should definately consult your doctor before taking any sort of vitamines.

Hi, I'm taking Vitex agnus castus, it's a herb which regulates your hormones. It's not a phytoestrogen so it's not adding anything, it simply encourages your body to produce more or less of what it needs. After a rocky period last year I'm settling down and I think it's thanks to this. I also take omega3, oil of evening primrose and vitamin E. I can't take B vitamins due to a stomache problem, but lots of ladies here swear by them.

Hi i take b6 b12 cod liver and omega 3 and calcium tablets at night . I have also just started takin milk thistle and still get bad days but on the hole feel bit better x

it seems as if most of them! lol and they are getting predictable! all Doc suggests are the coil and HRT but I am not getting classic Menapausal symptoms i.e. hot flashes etc just all the peri-menapausal symptoms. I am at a loss now as to what to do!

thank  you for replying, I had been taking the B-50 from Holland and Barrett to help alleviate but it showed up as too much on a blood test so had to curb taking it for a while!

I think I am going to go back to my G.P. and insist on something, this seems to be taking over my life! lol

Hi kerry

can you tell me more about Agnus Castus, I have considered this before but just not sure, what were your symptoms and how has it helped etc, any info would be great.
