Peri-Menopause and abdominal pain

Hi ladies, I am in perimenopause, have been going on for 5 yrs now, symptoms come and goes, I have multiple fibroids, I get abdominal pains every other month, I feel weepy, sad, going back and forth to doctors and he says I have gastric problems and doctor given me omeprazole, I had a scan and gynea says the pain is due to the  fibroids, it's also on the side of my abdomen,  some months I'm fine, no pains at all, I have also lots of abdominal gas as doctors saw it on the pelvic scan.

Im sure it's something to do with this menopause as it comes and goes. I eat well, sleep well, but also feel tired and fatigue, any one having these symptoms?

Ive had the exact same problem for 3 years ive had scans etc i have same tablets too its a nightmare i too have pain in pelvic area down the front of my legs and in lower back as we speak ive had it almost a month again, drives me crazy lets hope we both have some comfort soon your not on your own though theres plenty advice on this site everybodys happy to help where they can im so glad i found it.🙂

Yes it does sound horribly familiar. Though why it is that doctor's don't think they are doing their job properly if they don't send you home without meds, I just don't know.

Why has he given you Omeprazole? The gas and stomach pain might be down to diet. I get like that if I eat too much bread/pastries. Try avoiding wheat products (but don't replace them with 'gluten free' as that stuff is worse!)

Being on Omeprezole for some time actually gave me terrible gas in the stomach!
