I've been reading these posts, and am so glad I'm not alone! I'm 43 and have been experiencing horrible nausea, dizziness, it feels like my equilibrium is off!!
I thought my nausea had went away. Boy was I wrong! It came back tonight with a vengeance. I was over the toilet with the worst "dry heaves".( sorry for the details) Morning sickness is EXACTLY what it felt/feels like. I had it really bad this year Jan-March; I thought something was terribly wrong with me😩 I got every test known to man when I went to the doctor (Ultrasounds, Blood work, etc....) everything came back good. My GP didn't discuss anything about peri menopause. I'm going to try some of the tips I read from other postings, thank you for sharing those.
Lisa,
Glad you were able to find some comfort and rest your mind aftr reading these post.. I too was suffering with nausea so debilitating I couldn't function. My many many trips to ER gave no answers (jus' given prescriptions to treat nausea). Dr's only seem willing to address/acknowledge MENOPAUSE itself ( the period after youv been w/o a cyle for a year).. Neither my Ob-Gyn or FP has yet to even mention Peri- Meno or associate my Nausea with such. They told me nausea was NOT a symptom dealing w/meno (boy are they clueless and wrong!)
No more trips to ER, FP, or GYN for me. I have gotten SO much comfort from this forum and these ladies and am learning to manage my symptoms.☺
Wishing you nothing but the best health! 💕
Hi Lisa
Just to let u knw you r not alone i discovered mine d same way an until this day no dr ever told me its peri .
I hav been to d ER soo many times my acid acts up i get anxiety an heart rate goes haywire..plz rest it will help
Do take care
I'm going through it now. It's awful! I pray all the time that my symptoms will go away. Sometimes I wonder how much more I can take. People keep saying it will go away to just give it time. I'm on hrt with bioidentical progesterone. I'm afraid if I go off of it that my other symptoms will come back. M so glad for this site too. At least I know I'm not crazy or alone.
Thank you for the support! I have a follow-up appointment in two weeks with my primary physician; she's usually pretty open to women's health issues and perhaps can offer some solutions. I've been told, I'm fairly young to be encountering these symptoms, but what I do know is it can be accelerated by stress! Which I have a lot of due to my job. I have also made some ditetary changes, and am taking a high probiotic, hopefully these will help. I'll keep everyone posted.
Wendy, thank you for the support, I haven't been to the ER, but have been to my doctor more this year more than ever. I have two children, and one pregnancy was great, and the second I encountered horrible morning sickness. I've read some posts where ladies talked about the connection between what I experienced then and what I'm going through now.
