Perimenopause - bursting blood vessels?

Has anyone noticed blood vessels bursting for no reason?  I have one on my thumb today and not sure how I did it.  Is this another random symptom?

Yes!!  In my eye.    I have seen this in older people but 2 days ago somehow a blood vessel popped.   It doesn't hurt or cause vision problems but my eye is all red.   I was at the store today and just happened to check my blood pressure and it is HIGH!!!   I've never had high blood pressure.   So I'm sure it's related to hormones--  I've been tired, weak and my appetite is not the same.   I exercise and mostly eat healthy so just another thing to keep tabs on.   It's the holidays but I'm not overly stressed so who knows..

If I bump or scratch my left arm I get big purple red marks. Only seems to be my left arm.

Hi yes ive had it in my fingers.. sharp sting then the fingers went black, also in my eye.. again sharp sting and blood shot eye.. they seem to come in clusters. Not had it happen for a few years now.

Hiya yes bizarrely I get this in my fingers for no apparent reason. Feels like s small sharp ouch then when I look to see what it is I have a bruise there. Very odd!

When I was in the hospital a blood vessel popped on my finger. It hurt like a dickens. Anyhow, when I showed it to the nurse, he said, it's good it popped there and not in your heart or your brain. So, that was about a year ago, I immediately started taking a baby aspirin to thin out my blood, but now I've gone natural taking K2, over the baby aspirin.

My mom is like that and my gma was too.  I don't think there's much we can do about thinning skin?

Hi little me.  So,it happened frequently for a while and then stopped?

It hurts so bad.  I can't even use it.  It is very tender

Hi yes.. first was my finger.. then a few weeks later it was my eye.. i also had the same thing in my shoulder.. same pain   sharp sting.. but i think it was right in the joint as never had any bruising was just sore for a few days.  Then nothing.. i had it before about a year early just didnt twig what it was.  Its not skin related its a weakness in the fine blood vessels. There is a link between blood vessels and estrogen so it does make sense that they would be more delicate while going through peri and menopause.  Not had an issue for a few years now .

Yikes.  Thanks for telling me about the k2

did you ever get any more burst ones since you started taking the vitamin k? I m thinking of taking it now

thanks

I never started taking it and I haven’t had another one.    I wonder if I should be taking a baby aspirin though
