Hello again ladies,
Has anyone else experienced super sensitive skin-almost like a sunburn feeling in their perimenopause journey? I only get it on the back of my neck and upper shoulders, but there are days when it's super uncomfortable/painful to have my shirt touching the skin there.
Also, there are days at a time when my the joints in my fingers and hands hurt so much I have to alter how I hold my toothbrush because of the pressure of my toothbrush on my fingers. There are also days when I have to alter how I walk because the joints in my toes feel damaged and it hurts to walk.
I'm an otherwise fit, trim, and active person, but feel like an old lady some days from this hormone craziness.
Hey trinity, I know where you are coming from with the hypersensitive skin issues. I had to resort to full body washes at the sink because I couldnt stand the heat or pressure of the shower! My joints get really bad too. Some of my fingers actually lock like claws if I keep them in the same position for too long. This process is like ■■■■ on earth. What else will be thrown at us! XXX
That is so funny! I have had the same skin thing for the past day or so and wondered what it was!! Just another thing to add to my list!!
Joints and muscle ache - sometimes I feel like the walking dead when I get up!! However, it's the way it is for us ladies and we just have to ride the perimenopause rollercoaster!
Trinity,
I have had this feeling on the back of my right shoulder. My skin feels sensitive and the muscle feels like it’s tearing. I will also get achy stiff feeling in my neck. I’ve been getting this the last few months but I do chalk it up to hormones because my periods have only been coming every 3-4 months and I am 55 so I know my Estrogen levels have declined. I just hope all this stills when i’m Officially in menopause and not just peri. You are not alone 🙂
