Hi All,
Was after some advice. I am 50, 51 in january I have been told by my GP that I am Peri after blood tests. I have been regular every 28 weeks, on for 3 days for past couple of years, severe anxiety off and on, last month i had a period beginning April that lasted 3 days, then another 13 days later that lasted 8 days. Its now 15th May and im due on, not sure if has stopped or not, its really tender under my armpits and bloated and have all symptoms of on coming period but nothing yet. does this probably mean they have stopped. I can feel subtle agitation, anxiousness but know what it is and trying not to let it envelope me. Plus am taking herbal stuff and seems to be working on that score. Being peri, when your periods stop does everything get worse. heck hope not.
Hi nikiola
Im 52 and haven't had a period for 15 months but have had every menapause symptom going, I try hard not to let it interfear with my life but its not easy. I can't remeber having a night sleep where I'm not distubed by hot flushes and waking up soaking wet with perspiration. I have never been over weight but weight has crept on and I hate it. I have no energy and hate going anywhere. I have done the herbal stuff and for a short time seemed to work but not long term. I never thought menapause was going to effect me in such a way.
Hi, thanks for you reply. Im just really wondering if how i have been feeling is going to be worse, when my periods stop. I have a feeling that i have just had the last one. I have been trying to change diet as when went to my GP did BP reading and it was high. Was anxious so im putting it down to that and my GP did listen to me when i said that. She said my hormones in blood test detected suggestions that i was peri. iv been before and its come back clear, the only difference this time was that i was on an 8 day period (my last one i think). Iv had panic attacks, almost thought i was going mad. Everything went a bit David Lynch and surreal. However i pulled it back somehow. I have been peri for a while i think the scary feeling of not realising what is happening to your body is terrifying. I have been changing my diet, have noticed subtle differences, i dont feel so stressed but im wondering if the ......t is going to hit the fan as soon as i start to go into the menopause.
Dear nikiola
My periods stopped for a while but they started up again, not regularly but they are still lingering, the last obe was very very light, i have found with menopause that i am getting differebt symptoms that come and go, quite vague symptoms sometimes, the worse have been getting gastitis, i think everyone is different how they experience it, i am 51 now,
