I have the mirena IUD and its very Rare that I get my period if ever. I have also suspected Possibly having herpes, and today I just got my period for the first time in forever. Could this be related, or am I just freaking myself out?
HSV wont cause a period, but a period can cause an HSV outbreak.
if that were the case, would the period always come first?
Not necessarily.
For the first while my OBs were triggered by my period.
sometimes id get an outbreak and then start my period a day or two later, other times id get my period and then an outbreak!
