Hi Lisa. Don't know if this helps. Its a quick rundown of how my period went when I realized I must be in peri menopause.

10 days bleeding

10 days no bleeding

4 days bleeding

45 days no bleeding

3 days bleeding

15 days no bleeding

3 days bleeding

60 days no bleeding

1 day bleeding

182 days no bleeding

Light spotting in morning.

Had been having hot flashes, morning nausea, exhaustion etc for a few months.

Went to doctor and had blood work done and was told I'm menopausal now. Started BHRT straight away. That was about 14 weeks ago.

hi Lisa sinse i last wrote on here i have come on i worked it out it was 43 days before my last period and painfull to back ache and stomache im on day 3 now and still very heavy .so i know how you feel i dont know if im coming or going at the moment also im very irratable and tired all the time.i used to come on every 25 days .this last year has been going all over the place.

hi Azzumi

just been reading your post think i should go and get my bloods done to find out if im still in peri or not at least i will understand whats going on with me.Also i have night sweats but im not sure if they are hot flushes as it seems at night.waking up my back and my neck feel damp.although i do get hot during the day too.does this sound familiar its confusing.

Thanks for both response at present what started as a two week period has now become 4 weeks of light bleeding with one day slightly heavy just getting me down now wish it

End

Definitely sounds like Peri to me. I had hot flashes for quite a while till I realized. I'm very intune with my body so I should've realized earlier. Then my periods went crazy along with morning nausea and extreme fatigue. The worst part of Peri for me by far was mood swings. I have posted a few times on here about my depression, anxiety and crazy obsessive thoughts through peri. I had heard stories about Peri menopause but had no idea how tough it would be.

With bio identicals your doctor should use your blood work plus your symptoms to decide how much of each hormone to give you. I have a troche with progesterone, estrogen and testosterone and it does need adjusting a few times until they get the levels right. Not a fast process but definately worth it.

Let me know how you go and if I can help at all don't hesitate to ask.
