I was diagnosed with IBS years ago now, I feel like this could be something more but feel silly when doc has already told me what my symptoms are, I have weeks where I go to the loo maybe once/twice max then it can follow with over a month of the runs constantly, I have noticed lately that I'm bleeding when I wipe and unsure if it's maybe just sore because of the problems I'm having or whether it's something more, I am really struggling lately with it I have also got a really bloated belly most but not all days! So sorry for the too much info

Well symptoms all sound like ibs,blood may be piles if you have constipation,does your doctor know about the blood,if not think you should visit him again but you could ask him to do more tests to put your mind at rest.Good Luck
Maybe you have piles or fissures. For reassurance you could ask for a colonoscopy.
The color of the blood makes a difference. I get hemmroids a lot from IBS. Its a fresh red like if I just cut my hand or something. I use hemmroidal witch hazel pads. They help a lot.
I think a darker red almost black is when you should get to a doc asap. Sometimes I get scared too cuz a lot of blood will come out. I would definitely have it checked anyway. Which is embarassing but you need to be sure as to what it is.
