I am so scared to get rabies after hearing about a boy who got bit. I have two dogs, all of whom have their shots for everything. And yet I'm still scared. I have this weird scab/cut ish thing on my pointer finger. I do pick at my fingers often and remeber picking at it but not completely. So naturally my mind tells me, "well since you can't remember, you must have been bitten by a rabid animal sometime without knowing". The scab/cut thing is really small and like perfectly circular and very disconcerting. I told my parents and they dismiss it as I am definitely a hypochondriac. Each time I feel as if I really have what I'm worried about, now being rabies, and it's never been the case. But my mind just says "don't think that it's not going to be the case, because what if it is." And I hate how my parents dismiss everything and don't even show concern. Please give advice!!!!
It's also pulsating and tingling. It's very red and painful too.
Do you have any other symptoms? When were you bitten? Hourse, days, weeks, months? What were you bitten by and what part of what country do you live?
Allie, are you old enough to make a doctor's appointment without your parents knowing?
Or are you in America, and they woud get a bill which you'd have to explain?
