My son convinced me that he needs a dog, he promised he would take care of her, RIGHT! Anyway I've been taking care of "Lola" a Weimaraner mix which needs lots of exercise, and attention, lots of attention. So, do any of you out there have a dog that requires your attention, and if you don't, it may be a way to calm you down. One thing for sure, your attention will be on the dog, not on you, especially a young dog. You'll be trianing her/him, taking long walks which is very relaxing.

Now I know it could be a hassel that many consider a bother, especially with current problems, but it could be what you need. Lola is pushing her tennis ball at me to play fetch as I'm writing this, so I have to give her some attention, better than worry about anxiety which is the last thing on my mind.

I would love a dog!!! However I fear diseases and right now ebola. And apparently dogs can spread it. I know I sound crazy. I really quite a sain person when it comes to anything else other than sickness.

Morning....have had several Weimaraners,as albeit awake when asleep, have given me unconditional love and got me through my very bleak days.

had our female put to sleep a couple of years ago, aged nearly 17 and now have a large male who was 12 yesterday.......they do not begin to chill out until about 5-6 years old....unless yours is crossed with a chilled breed like a Labrador..

i totally agree with you, albeit our latest male has made a lot of use of Pet Plan, would never have made it without him,or all the other dogs we have had over the years...xx

funny, I've just been thinking about this.  Also, if you cant keep a dog at home, dog shelters are always glad of people to walk dogs.  I know someone who does it regularly and loves it.
