Hi everyone
Just to say my mum rang the DWP this morning to ask for an update about the MR I put in. They received it on 31/01/17. They had already informed me they were awaiting medical evidence from my GP and Consultant. Even though I send evidence with the MR. and a letter from my mum to say she attended my assessment and the assessor had lied. She put everything in detail. Today she was to the same. But explained she had spoken to both my GP practice and the Consultants secretary and been advised by both they had received nothing from DWP. They lady put mum on hold for quite a while so she could find out what was going on. She returned to say it was now with a decision maker who was not happy about the assessors report. She said this was a good thing, as at least we now know someone else is looking at it. Just have to hope the decision is in my favour. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Hi Mark,
sounds promising, so everything crossed.
Thanks for sharing this Mark.
It makes a refreshing change to read that a DWP decision maker was not happy about the assessor`s report.
I hope that things go in your favour.
Good luck
Steve
Thanks Steve. Got my mum to think for chasing them up. But won't settle till I get decision.
Hope all goes well for you.
Mark
Hi Bobbybo1,
Did you request the asssesor report before submitting your mandatory reconsideration?
The reason I ask, I just took their word for granted, submitted a MR, was waiting and waiting, 7 weeks later of stalking the postman, I asked the DWP for a copy of the report, to my horror, got the report, the assessor had awarded me the correct amount of points (but still lied in her report) the decision manager obviously can't count a single number figure! My MR was totally unnecessary, 10 weeks of pain and stress because someone in the DWP can't count to 9! Phoned to complain, guess what.....they jumped to action, was getting phone calls everyday how sorry they were, said the backdated money will be in my account by the end of this week! Morale of the story is, fight all the way! They are not only cruel, they are incompetent and that is what you will get them with every time!
Ps they contacted my Psychologist, asked him two questions only
Could I attend a f2f?
whats the prescription list?
my psychologist replied they do not have access to patients prescriptions, they would need to contact their GP, she never did contact my GP and she wrote on her report that she had an in depth conversation with my psychologist, who had agreed to write a letter stating the only two questions she asked, I hope she is struck off for lying!
Hi. I recieved copy with the decision from DWP. when they lowered my benefit. On reading it saw the lies told by the assessor. This being the reason the MR was put in. I sent evidence showing the diagnosis for MS and how this now effects me on a daily basis. Thecsmevwas shown to the assessor but she chose not to use it. My mum has rang every 2 weeks for updates but until yesterdy all we were told is their awaiting medical evidence. Not sure how it will go, but at least we know it's with the decision maker.
PS. Until my mum told her she had spoken to my GP practice and my Consultants secretary and both had received nothing from the DWP. And asked for info about who they were awaiting evidence from. The lady would not have tried finding out what happened. She brought in her supervisor for help. That's when they discovered it was now with the decision maker.
All these assessors wholie should be struck off. So it is people's lives there messing with. Not everyone has someone to help them. My mum has been a fantastic help throughout. She picks me up and attends all my appointments with me. She writes letters and rings people for advice and updates. Without her doing this these EE would just walk all over me.
Your mum sounds like a fantastic source of help and support for you and I'm glad you have someone fighting your corner! If it's with the decision maker, I hope you have a good outcome, good luck!😃
Thank you she certainly is. Would you believe after her call to DWP yesterday. The GP practice have received a request for some information. Wonder why that may be.
Fancy that eh? Even though they have dragged their heels, here's hoping the GP's info will help provide a good outcome for you and at least you know they are in the process of dealing with your case, hopefully you won't have to wait too long now!
The sometimes contact GPs, it's rare but it can happen. They obviously need more info and you'll recieve a decision soon.
It is unusual for DWP to request info from GPs so it would seem whatever your Mum said is being taken seriously. Good luck with the outcome.
Yes let's see how long they take now.
Hi Denise.
Yes they said they were waiting for evidence but we're cagey as to who from. So my mum wrote to both my GP p8nd consultant. To enquire why it was taking so long for them to send reports. As DWP seed for this begin6of February. Both my GP practice and Consultant so secretary rang my mum to say they had received nothing.
This is what my mum told the lady from DWP yesterday. She found out through her supervisor decision maker who dealing with it. She had asked for evidence. So maybe she had sent this out or faxed it yesterday after my mum rang. Either way at least I know they are dealing with it now. Just have to wait for the outcome.
My mum made it clear she HD spoken to the lady at the practice who deals with these matters. Also she HD been to see my GP with me and also my specialist MS Nurse last week. Since all NHS details can be found on the system. So they all know what's going on. So my GP practice will have all the information they require.
Hopefully it won't be to much longer. As lloyds the NHS systems are linked. There should be no problem with my GP practice sending the required information. Fingers and everything crossed.
God knows what's happening with my words today. But hope you all understand what I'm saying.
Hi ya.
Hope all goes well and you get what you deserve. I've just put a MR In and they received it at 5.35am on 16th March 17. I rang them later in the day as I thought 5.35 is very early and I wanted to let them know someone signed for it. The lady said she was putting down on my file and that I rang and stated it had to be there by Monday. But I still haven't received any text or anything. I'm also concerned as the MR had to be there by the 20th of which it was but we all know what the DWP are like. Should I call them again Monday morning to see whether they have seen it yet? This has been going on since November and I can't cope much longer, it's very hard and stressful for sure.
Thank you in advance.
Can't hurt to call them again. They received mine on 31/01/17 and my mum has called them 3 times for updates. Hope all goes well for you. And your right it is hard and stressful especially when it's down to the assessor not being truthful.
